In the past 14 years, the Transportation & Infrastructure Summit and Convention have become a significant platform for uniting international, national, state and local transportation policy makers who share a common objective and concern for their specific communities. The 5th Annual Transportation and Infrastructure Convention, coming to Washington, D.C. in March, will continue to build on this rich heritage. This year’s Convention follows the highly successful and influential 4th Annual Transportation & Infrastructure Convention held in March 2010 and the 14th Annual Transportation & Infrastructure Summit & 4th Annual Global High-Speed Rail Forum, held in Irving, Texas in August 2011.
Held within walking distance from the halls where national transportation and infrastructure policy is developed, the convention consistently features key policy makers who highlight special discussions, meetings, receptions, and presentations in the heart of Washington, D.C. Last year’s Convention also featured special venues such as The Rayburn House Office Building, the United States Botanical Gardens and historic Union Station. The convention features some of the most strategic locations around Capitol Hill.

Last year’s convention brought 225 attendees from 25 states and nine countries to join with 45 respected speakers to discuss multimodal transportation planning, investment, and development including transit, highways, freight rail, seaports, rail, aviation, and public transportation systems. The expert speakers for this year’s 5th Annual Transportation & Infrastructure Convention will focus on connecting these industry leaders, inspiring their imaginations and enhancing our vision to build this great nation! Connect! Inspire! Build!
The 14th Annual Transportation and Infrastructure Summit featured a prestigious group of state, national and international dignitaries presented by the City of Irving.
This group’s contributions helped to develop potential responses to meet the challenges and opportunities for the future of transportation in the United States and across the globe.
The purpose of the Summit is to educate policy makers from all levels of government about current transportation issues throughout the world. The goal is to learn, share dialogue, advocate and network with the nation’s transportation and public policy leaders, private sector leaders and trade associations and groups.
